So you think you can dance........

This post is in honor of our new holiday, National Dance Day.

My daughter performed at the Relay for Life this morning. She was in two performances, costume change and all. I think she has been on stage more times in her mere 5 years than I have been in my entire life. She loves it and is quite a ham on stage.  Here you go.....

We're on our way to the stage. She is pretty excited!!

She is in awe of all of the people, there are so many.
Check out his cool ride!

Her first set.

It's pretty cold while they're waiting to go onstage.

Her second set.

Taking a few laps in support of the cause!

Strawberry fields forever....

Another item checked off of our summer to do list

We went BERRY PICKING!!

We are so excited to get started!!

Wow, where do we start? How do we choose?

Attempting to pick berries. This is way harder than we thought. It's hot! You have to bend for each one. Don't know which ones to pick.

Finally, here's one we can keep.

This nice lady didn't even charge us for our pathetic bounty!! We stopped before we even came close to filling one side. She said our berries wouldn't register on the scale and gave them to us for free!!

It is a good thing we went for the experience and not for the berries. I don't think we will put this on our list next year.

Chuck e Cheese to the rescue

Well, my daughter and I checked off another item from our summer to do list! Yeah for us. We had planned to go to Wallace Falls a couple Thursdays ago. I had checked weather.com several times to make sure it would be a nice day and it was supposed to be, all the way up until the day when it started raining! So we switched up our plans and went to Chuck e Cheese instead. It is on our list, it's an indoor activity and my daughter loves it, so why not!

Don't forget to enter my VERY FIRST GIVEAWAY!! Ends July 16th.

Our 4th of July celebration

My family and I had such a lovely Fourth of July! We went to my father's house on the lake, had a BBQ and spent the day eating, laughing and talking. The kids did some fishing off the dock and then lit off some light fireworks and then when it got dark, we sat back and watched the show. Some of the people who live on the lake do a CRAZY fireworks show. Better than the ones I see put on by the cities. It's amazing how much people will spend on explosives! There were times when I didn't know where to look, there were so many displays. Then, tired and worn out, we drove home. So nice!!

 Watching the boats

My daughter and great nephew posing for the camera

 She's a ham, what can I say

 Reflecting......

My nephew and son being great role-models, having a roman candle fight

 Finally dark enough for sparklers!!

Some of the fireworks show. I wish I was a better photographer. They were amazing!

Edward...Jacob... WHO CARES....I want JASPER!!!

So, I finally made it to see Eclipse. I'm in the theater anxiously awaiting the start of the movie when a woman yells out "YES" as she is unable to contain her enthusiasm. You can really tell she is excited for the movie to start............Oh wait....Am I talking about myself in the third person again? Apparently so, because that woman was ME!  I had gotten myself all worked up the last couple of days in anticipation of today.

I do have to say that I barely noticed JASPER in the previous two movies. I don't know if it was the excitement of seeing the characters of Edward and Bella come to life in Twilight, or the shock of Jacob's much needed haircut in New Mood, but Jasper just kind of slipped under the radar.

And may I ask HOW exactly was that possible? How did I miss Mr. Cutie McHottie pants before? I don't know, but he sure isn't under the radar anymore. Due to the sheer hotness of Jasper, I had to go sneak into The Last Airbender and watch him in that also.

Now, enough of Jasper. It was a pretty good movie and I will say that Kristen Stewart looked her best. She was really pretty in this movie.  Hope you had a chance to watch Eclipse too. Tell me, who is your favorite character?  Did you notice Jasper as I had?

I rode the bump!!

You may or may not have known that "Ride a camel" was on my to do list. Well, that has been moved to my completed list. This last week my daughter, her best friend in the whole world, Olivia, and I rode a camel. My daughter has done it before, but it was a first for me. (and Olivia).

I have to say that it was totally fun. I laughed almost the entire time. I am a big, big dork. No, it wasn't in their natural habitat, but it might be awhile before I visit anywhere that would be, so I rode the camel at the zoo.

My sister was kind enough to document it for me. Here are the pics.........

While we were at it, we also crossed off a few things on our Summer to do list.

We went to the zoo

Flew a kite

Went to the beach

Went for a hike

We all had such a great time! Can't wait to do more things on BOTH lists!
